So you get an idea of who ArchwayServe are and so you feel more comfortable about the idea of having us coming around to clean the carpets in your home or business, we’d like to tell you a bit more about who our people are, what we do and what we believe in. We hope that you’ll like what you see and that we’ll both get to know each other well over time if you choose us as your carpet cleaners.
Our People
First of all, who we are. There’s quite a few of us and we’ve got a diverse collection of local Archway carpet care experts. We’re equal opportunities employers, with our main criterion being a willingness to stick with our values. Apart from that, we’re a mixed bunch of all types – kind of like carpets themselves, in a way.
However, we insist that all of our team members must be reliable and honest. That’s one of our core values: being trustworthy enough to go into people’s homes and workplaces when they’re not there and only do what they’re supposed to do, taking away nothing except dirt, bad odours and carpet stains. This is why we put them through a full police vetting check prior to the training process.
We also know that good communication with our clients is very important. This is why we also make sure that anyone who wants to join our team of carpet cleaners also passes a spoken English proficiency test.
We also value high standards, which is why we also put our team members through a thorough training process. We want to create carpet experts through this process who know all the things needed to deliver the best quality to our Archway customers, whether they’re domestic carpet cleaning customers or commercial ones. We teach our trainees how to identify carpets, know which ones are best suited to which carpet cleaning techniques and (obviously) how to use all the different techniques, including more obscure things like dry carpet cleaning. We also train them in how to apply Scotchgard stain protection and how to remove tough stains from mats, rugs and carpets (and no, this does not involve some kind of magic power).
What We Do
In a nutshell, what we do is help people have healthy, beautiful homes and workplaces. Primarily, this involves cleaning carpets, but that’s not the only thing we clean. ArchwayServe takes care of mats (this includes everything from doormats upwards), rugs and upholstery. In short, most of the soft furnishings in your home can be cleaned by our team members – and we can probably clean your car upholstery and carpets as well if you want this done!
There are times when you don’t need the whole carpet cleaned throughout the office or the home or the living room or whatever; you just need that nasty little patch of puppy pee or spilled red wine or some other stain removed. This is why we also provide comprehensive stain removal services – and these include emergency stain removals when you need something gone in a hurry.
Of course, prevention is better than the cure, so we also know how to apply Scotchgard stain protection to carpets, sofas, rugs and other surfaces, allowing their beauty to be sealed behind an invisible layer of protection
To break things down more specifically about what we do, here’s the list:

What We Believe In
We’ve already let you know about some of our core values, such as being trustworthy, clear communication with customers and being able to deliver excellent services. However, there are a number of other values we consider to be very important.
Flexibility
We know that our customers come in all types. Some of our customers are large Archway based businesses that see a lot of foot traffic, and they need to get the carpets cleaned on a regular schedule, with maybe a weekly service for really high-traffic surfaces like the mats in corridors and near doorways. At the other end of the spectrum, some of our N19 based customers (quite a lot, actually) are ordinary private individuals who have realised that the carpet’s getting a bit grotty and it’s far too long since it was properly cleaned, so they want this done before forgetting about it again. Then there’s everybody else in between. No matter what your situation is, and which end of the spectrum you’re closest to, we can work with you and provide you with the carpet care services you need. This includes sorting out regular scheduled carpet cleaning sessions if this is what suits your situation – and we let you decide on the schedule that suits your budget and needs best.
We’re also flexible about when we come out, meaning that if you need us to come out in the weekend or in the evening – or at ten o’clock in the morning – we can send someone round exactly then. (OK, traffic jams in Archway are not uncommon as the A1 runs through the neighbourhood and can happen at random to everybody and as flying carpets are the only carpet we don’t have any experience with, so sometimes we might not be exactly on the dot, but we certainly try our best to be punctual.)
Transparency
We’ve all heard about the dodgy people who quote you one price then stick a whole lot of unexpected extras on the bill. We’re not like that. We tell you up front what the costs will be after the initial inspection to determine the type of carpet cleaning that will best suit your carpet, mat, rug, upholstery or whatever it is. We try to be as transparent as possible and make our pricing system as easy to understand as possible so that you don’t end up getting a nasty surprise on the bill at the end.
We’ll admit up front that calling in a professional carpet cleaner will cost more than hiring one of those carpet shampooing machines. However, we do a much better job, as our hot water extraction machines remove a much larger quantity of liquid thanks to the strong vacuum systems we have available. This means a reduced drying time. What’s more, we can deal with the carpets that can’t handle the heat and moisture involved with steam cleaning, as we have other techniques up our sleeves. If you try to do a spot of DIY steam cleaning on a carpet that can’t handle it, you can ruin it, and we want to save you that sort of headache and heartache. It’s a lot less hassle for you to call in a professional rather than to try doing it yourself (not to mention picking the machine, providing all the different forms of ID some of those companies seem to require and getting the machine back again on time so you don’t incur extra fees…). So we reckon that we provide good value for money and that it’s totally worth paying that bit extra to get the job done professionally! In cases where regular scheduled carpet cleaning is needed, we actually come out cheaper in the long run.
